Hi there,
My name is Melissa Lopez & I’ve always had a passion for building & creating. My undergrad experience at UC San Diego piqued my interest in user-experience design. After majoring in Cognitive Science, & specializing in design & interaction, I became passionate about interactive systems, cognitive theories, and how that played into the user experience. Specializing in design & interaction took me through fun, challenging projects that allowed me to hone my skills, develop an eye for detail, & adopt a user-centered mindset.
I have learned how to take user journeys from concept to implementation and have developed the empathetic skills needed to discover user needs/pain points. Thanks to my business minor, I have also learned to carry out product ideation & implementation from a business perspective.
My goal is to have a positive impact by creating intuitive, inclusive, & memorable experiences. I plan to implement a user-centered approach to create innovative platforms that satisfy all stakeholders. I am eager to keep learning so that I can grow as a designer!
Outside of work, I enjoy working out, drawing, spending time in nature, hanging out with loved ones, and dancing. I love trying new things and always look forward to learning more about life!
